First Produce is project management based and focused on the development of trade and investment linkages in the Agricultual and Food sector between the UK and overseas. In 2005 and 2006 we were actively involved in the International Village of the Royal Show. The Workshop was entitled ' A Two Day Workshop on Best Practices for the Growing, Harvesting, Conditioning, Processing and Exporting of Root Crops (Yams and Sweet Potatoes).
The purpose of the Workshop was to engage with prospective growers and exporters of Root Crops in Nasarawa State where a Conditioning Centre is being constructed and also Benue and Plateau States.
The Chief Host was His Excellency ALH Aliyu Akwe Doma, OON, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State.
Key presentations were made by First Produce UK and Nigeria representatives, Mr James Houston, Mrs Patricia Obichukwu and Dr Alan Legge, a UK based specialist in Produce Supply Management. Click to here see event photos
